Leslie G

At her happiest, you could find Leslie in her yellow house on First Street in Fargo, curled up on the couch with a good book and CNN on in the background, a stack of newspapers and magazines at her side and her husband, John, ready to take her out to dinner and enjoy a glass of wine or a gin martini (with extra olives). In her later years, after her husband passed away, she moved to West St. Paul to be closer to her daughter, Molly; together, they’d hit the sales and shops in search of treasures, with Matthew, Leslie's son, always taking them out to dinner afterward when he was in town.

At The Conservatory, people may spot some of the treasures the mom-and-daughter duo found on their shopping adventures, including a yellow floral painting from a thrift store, a vintage basket with stickers found at a Fargo-Moorhead vintage shop, a small ceramic jar for leftovers, Leslie’s favorite costume jewelry and more.

Leslie passed away in July of 2025. You can read and learn more about her "beautiful life" via her obituary here.
