How would you describe yourself to someone who never had the chance to meet you? 

I am a social person and enjoy meeting others to share our life experiences.

I am positive and treat others the way I like to be treated. I have volunteered 20 years (each) singing in a senior chorus and ushering in theaters and the Science Museum. 

Being raised on a farm, I learned very early how important being responsible was. 

It was an honor being selected as Senior Queen of the St. Paul Winter Carnival in 1997. In that role,  I shared goodwill at nursing homes, hospitals, senior care centers, and many events. I enjoyed volunteering the whole year. - Bert W. 

Over the years, what types of items or collections in your home seemed especially meaningful to you, and why? 

I traveled the U.S. and overseas and would collect spoons and patches of places I visited. Also, I have several items in my home displayed.
